Welcome! Bogue Chitto Tubing Center is the home of the oldest tubing, kayaking and canoeing business in Washington Parish. We are located on the scenic Bogue Chitto River at the Isabel bridge. We are open 7 days a week April through Labor Day. We are open every weekend in September after Labor Day. For any other times, please call us for a reservation. Don’t forget that fall is a beautiful season to enjoy canoeing or kayaking also.
The business began in the early1990’s by Florence “Flo” and Red Mizell. She was known affectionately as the “gray headed lady” bus driver. Their enthusiasm for the business is also shared by the immediate family. When you were old enough to catch or throw a tube you were helping. Both “Flo” and Red passed away in 2009. Tony, their only son, has continued the family tradition.
We have the “New Blue Tubes” (which have a head rest and cup holder) and the traditional black tubes. We offer services to meet the entertainment and recreational interest of our customers. Whether you are looking to meet new friends or just to get away from it all, we can help! Shed the stress and worry of everyday life and enjoy a fantastic time in the sun. There are plenty of white sand beaches which the locals call sandbars for you to stop and enjoy yourselves.
We welcome all groups. For bus rentals go to www.gstunnaent.com or call (504) 655-0827 or Arthur Matherne (504) 628-0835. If possible please give us prior notice for groups of 20 or more. You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would like to give us your email address we can notify you of river closure due to high water.
